This article has been written to share to All what Startups are building across Latin America. We believe in the future of our region, our people and the families that hold our nations together.

Shippers + Tech + Lifters = Formula to move LatAm 🦄

Three years ago, we kick-started liftit moving people’s homes in Bogotá, Colombia. And after six months, we decided to embrace a challenging dream: to move LatAm, a truck delivery at a time!

Our Vision

Move LatAm.

Challenging a vision is important at all Startups, and as important are the right partners that will walk across the region side to side to build the future from Mexico City to Patagonia.

At liftit we chose to work with top tier retail brands and funds in Latin America. As a company grows, it requires the support of people and partners to build the tech infrastructure to support the entire transportation industry in LatAm.

An envisioned platform that today fuels the growth of core industries in Brazil, México, Colombia, Chile and Ecuador, automating the core complexities of the last-mile trucking delivery process.

An omnichannel delivery process that centralizes 100% of data, offers traceability, visitility, efficiency and value added information to allow our partners and lifters to take data driven decisions.

Benjamin Rodriguez is one of my favorite lifter stories that proved us early on, we were doing the right thing. Benjamin is one of the first truck drivers I once worked with to execute about 1,000 deliveries to understand the bottle necks, constraints, distribution pains and the estructural challenges of our industry in Latin America. At that time, Benjamin owed the truck to bank loan and had no ways to earn a decent nor recurrent income to pay for his truck.

We deliver happiness.

Later on after three years, eight months ago. I found Benjamin at one of our Lifter Centers where he greeted me with joy. It was surprising to have seen him again after a few years. I was amazed to discovered, he had paid back his truck, bought a second truck to his son and that day he was onboarding a third truck to his brother to become the third lifter family member.

Thousands of these stories are found around our business. And it keep us working hard day and night to fulfill the dreams of our people at the same time that we support improve the lives of millions of lifters across LatAm.

At liftit, we maintain a sustainable pace of productivity and a plenty life outside of work. We maximize our ability to take on projects by creating diverse teams who can bring their experience and perspectives together to solve the last-mile 🚚 delivery complexities.

Self-Management

We’re self-starters. Our first instinct is to take initiative rather than expect a policy. We’re able to make decisions on our own to ignite change and take action independently. Taking action doesn’t mean, we do things alone. But rather, we know when to collaborate and when to ask for support.

Continuous Improvement

We recognize that we can always be better. We confidently go forward with the ideas we believe, while remaining open and eager to better perspectives. We take initiative to improve ourselves, our organization and our communities.

This is a never-ending task, because there is always room for improvement. This week should be better than last week and we’re optimistic that the next week will be better than this week. We learn new things and share those learnings with our peers and community.

While continually working to make things better, we prefer long-term viability over near-term shortcuts. It’s more important that the organization exists in 10 years than making an extra dollar today.

Trust

We expect the best from each other and at first glance apply the benefit of the doubt. We encourage our people to take initiatives to improve ourselves and the organization. We provide direct and constructive support to all.

We show trust and respect by telling the truth, and demonstrating honesty and integrity in our actions. We avoid having private conversations about others or our clients. Instead of, we use tools such as workplace, Slack, GtmHub, Google Meets, and Whatsapp to communicate openly within a project, within liftit, and publicly.

We want to be able to choose our own tools and bring a respected voice to the way our projects are run. We don’t wait to receive orders, we look forward to being productive and collaborate consistently to solve problems. We insist on working hard with our partners who trust our role and experience.

We prefer transparency of information whenever possible. We do all of this while maintaining the privacy and confidentiality that every person deserves.

Quality

We create working, maintainable, understandable services and products that are enjoyable and easy to use.

We improve the quality of the process at our clients operations, designing and building quality services; this means improving the security, privacy and accessibility of our product to improve people’s lives.

We reduce negative impact to zero for all our users, contributors, and the people it impacts.
